Search full-text databases for very specific issues.  Try the different databases listed below.

Searching Index databases

Why do you want to search Index databases?

You have searched full text databases, such as Lexis and Westlaw and are getting lots of articles that mention your search terms but are not relevant to your topic.

How to effectively utilize index features?

1.  Run your keyword search in the search boxes for the  Index to Legal Periodicals.  Use the link above.

2.  Identify relevant articles and look for subject descriptors

3.   Modify search and use subject descriptors in addition to your keywords.

4.  To locate article found in an index and not available in full-text, see Locating Articles tab.

Google Scholar

Search Google Scholar to find legal (and non-legal) articles.  To locate full text of article where link is not available, see Locating Articles tab of this Guide.
