When searching for an idea for a paper (or to hone or narrow a topic), think:

See boxes for:

A. Ideas for current developments in the law

B. Major newspapers, legal news publications, and blogs

C. Who regulates your area of interest?

D. Who cares about your area?

A. Ideas for current developments in the law

Legal news sources, such as those below, can be good sources for ideas.

B. Don't forget major newspapers, legal news publications and blogs

These sources are especially good for narrowing a topic. You will get good ideas of current issues of interest. Here are a few suggestions.

C. Who regulates your area of interest?

Check links both for "independent agencies" and "executive departments" for the full choice of agencies regulating in your area.

D. Who cares about your area:

Look for advocacy or interest organizations.  Substitute your interest for "children" in the Google search below.  You may also want to try deleting the word "advocacy".
