1L Law Library Survival Guide

If you encounter any issues accessing databases, please contact the Reference Desk.  

Some general tips:

1) For Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg, and CALI, you need to create an individual           

    account to use the databases.  If you did not receive an email with registration codes,

    please contact the Reference Desk. 

2) If you have already created a Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg, or CALI account and 

    cannot log-in, please try the reset/recover password tools on the sign-in page.  If 

    you are still having trouble, please contact the Reference desk

3) For all other databases, make sure that you are using the database link published

    on the Hofstra Law Webpage.  Using our link will let you authenticate with your 

    Hofstra credentials to gain full access.  If you try to access the database from a

    different link, you may not be able to access the materials.
